Hi all, just wanted to say a big congratulations to my lovely hubby who completed the kilt walk yesterday,in Scotland this is a walk wearing a kilt, however this is not compulsory, firstly you nominate a charity of your choice, which in this case he chose a children’s hospice named (CHAS), then you register to do the walk.
9am Sunday 29th April 2018 I dropped John off at Glasgow green which is next to the lovely historic People’s Palace established in 1889 the palace was intended to provide a cultural centre for the people of Glasgow and was designed by the city engineer Alexander B McDonald. At the opening ceremony Lord Rosebery stated ” A palace of pleasure and imagination around which the people may place their affections and which their memory may rest” he declared the building open, I better stop now or I could just keep nattering on. Anyhoo the walk started at 9:30am (Glasgow Green) and ended at 6:30pm Balloch, the gateway to Loch Lomond.
Yee haa 23miles later he completed the walk, with blistered feet, and feeling exhausted he was just so happy that he raised Β£600 for his chosen charity.
When my wee girlie and I brought him home he went straight into a relaxing bath & then something to eat. He later fell asleep on the chair with cat on his knee both snoring.( I really need to get some ear plugs) he he.
Anyway despite the snoring a big well done hun you really are my hero and a super π luv Dx β€
IΒ΄ll try practice my horrible English with you… Thanks !!

Bravo to your hubby for this walk! Do you have to wear a kilt with a tartan from your family or can you wear any tartan? Anyway he wore it that’s quite a walk. As for the snoring ….we have a little dog that snores. I use earplugs!
